Nadia Shpachenko 'Invasion'

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World, featuring a conversation with Grammy award-winning Ukrainian-American pianist   Nadia Shpachenko . Nadia's latest album features works by composer  Lewis Spratlan , who sadly died just a few days before this episode came out. He leaves a marvellous legacy and this album in particular contains some of his stunning works, created for Nadia. The title track is  Invasion , a piece written in just a few days following Russia's initial attachs on Ukraine in February 2022. Thanks to Nadia for allowing me to play extracts from  Invasion  alongside our conversation.
