Stanley Silverman 'In Celebration'

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World , featuring a conversation with composer  Stanley Silverman . Alongside many, many hugely successful composing and performing projects. Stanley is also cited as the inspiration for the character Bruno in the film 'Fame' - based on his time at New York's highly-prestigious High School for the Performing Arts. Stanley's new album -  In Celebration  - is out now on UK record label Signum Classics. It features his two piano trios and includes a guest appearance from Sting, alongside the  Kalichstein -Laredo-Robinson trio. Tristan Banks 'View From Above'

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World , featuring a conversation with drummer, percussionist and composer  Tristan Banks . Tristan's new album -  View From Above  - is out now on Ubuntu Music, featuring saxist Paul Booth, pianist John Crawford and Davide Mantovani on bass. Our conversation wends its way around the tracks on the album itself, touring live and the state of the UK gig industry. Tristan's also manager of the Verdict Jazz Club in Brighton and we touch on all things to do with live performance in this episode. Ofra Harnoy & Mike Herriott 'Portrait'

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World , featuring a conversation with  Ofra Harnoy  and  Mike Herriott . The pair have recently released  Portrait , which features a brand new recording of their favourite operative music, arranged for cello and trumpet (with a host of additional large ensemble work thrown in. Portrait  is a wonderful album and you can hear extracts from three of my favourite tracks to give a sense of the craft and musicianship of both Ofra and Mike. Louis Stewart 'Out On His Own'

Welcome to the latest episode of Harmonious World, featuring a conversation with  Dermot Rogers , who has recently been involved in a project to remaster the work of guitar giant  Louis Stewart . Just released is a remastered  Out On His Own , which shows Stewart's virtuosity and lyrical genius. Executive Producer Dermot Rogers talks about discovering the master tapes of the album, which was originally released in 1977. The new edition includes three previously unreleased tracks and the physical version includes several previously unseen photos of Stewart.
