Spring seems to have developed rapidly

Just a few weeks ago, this view from near the end of my dog walk was brown. Completely brown. No leaves on the trees, freshly-ploughed fields and mud everywhere.

Now the paths through the woods are half as wide because of the vegetation and we're not wading through puddles.

I wonder if it's all turning green so quickly because of the very wet start to the year. While we were bemoaning the mud, maybe the seedlings beneath were thriving and beginning to grow.

Maybe good stuff comes because of the bad stuff, not just as a reward at the end. Just saying.
