If you live here in Hitchin, Milton Keynes is about the best shopping centre within driving distance. Well, not any more. If parking is going up that amount, then it really does make more sense to stay in Hitchin and support our local independents all the time.
If you're wise, you'll combine shopping locally with a trip to Sainsbury's and Waitrose, with two of the most central car parks. In any case, Hitchin shops offer good value for money and the service is really, really good. We're proud of our local department store Hawkins of Hitchin and if you visit around noon on Saturday 30 May, you can watch the Hitchin Fashion Show featuring all the local independent fashionistas. Great offers on the day, too!
