Mistakes, I've made a few.

I've made a couple of silly mistakes in the last few days and I am definitely learning from them.

Now it's time to make some changes. I've just realised that it's six months since I left teaching and being a writer is presenting some great opportunities. Trying to embrace them is difficult for me, as I never think I'm good enough.

One thing I have learned in the last couple of days is to be choosy about the jobs I go for. I am refining my specialisms and will stay away from the things I am neither very good at nor have the heart for. Somethings just seem pointless to me, so I just won't write them.

This is something of a six-month business review and, overall, the picture is good. More focus in the next six months might give me a good year.
