What a lovely evening, spent in rehearsal with the Five Star Swing band. They're not about to offer me the bari sax chair, but I enjoyed the evening with Chris and Simone Smith, plus the rest of the band.
A surprise sit-in from bass player Phil Cranham made the evening perfect. Tough sight-reading, preferable to easy run-throughs. Nice!
